In the 90s, a few years after beginning Keeper One, Chantelle Mansfield moved to Mississippi 'to take care of Faulkner's grave'. She would routinely visit Oxford Memorial Cemetery to clean it.

Chantelle's daughter, Brontë, was born in 1993 in Rockford, Illinois. Many scenes in Keeper One are inspired by Brontë's childhood.
